Celebrating Long Service: Milestones for Jack Salway and AndyMcLaren

Hart Male Voice Choir was delighted to celebrate two significant milestones at our rehearsal last Wednesday, recognising the dedication of two choristers whose loyalty and enthusiasm have enriched the choir for many years.

Jack Salway – 20 Years of Service

Jack reached his 20‑year milestone this month, marking two decades of steady commitment, musicianship, and good humour. His presence has been a constant source of strength within the choir, and we were pleased to present him with his long‑service pin in recognition of all he has contributed.

Andy McLaren – 30 Years of Service

We also honoured an exceptional achievement as Andy McLaren completed 30 years with Hart MVC. Over three decades, Andy has become one of the choir’s most dependable and enthusiastic members. His contribution extends well beyond singing: he has given many years of valued service as Social Secretary, helping to organise events that bring the choir together and strengthen the friendships at the heart of our community.

To mark his milestone, Andy received his long‑service pin along with a specially engraved beer mug bearing the choir logo—a small token of our gratitude for his remarkable commitment both on and off the stage.

Presentations

The presentations to both Jack and Andy were made by Choir Chairman Eamonn O’Rourke, who expressed the choir’s appreciation for their long-standing dedication and the positive impact they continue to have on the Hart MVC family.

A Choir Built on Dedication

Milestones like these remind us that Hart Male Voice Choir thrives not only on music, but on the loyalty, camaraderie, and shared purpose of its members. Jack and Andy exemplify these values, and we thank them both for their many years of service.
