Hart Male Voice Choir are delighted to welcome guests from Barnstaple in North Devon to join in a Choral Partnership at St Thomas-on-the-Bourne in Farnham on Saturday 26 October.
The Barnstaple Male Voice Choir has a long and cherished history dating back to 1919 and is therefore celebrating its Centenary in 2019. The choir is committed to singing choral music to a high standard with a repertoire to suit many different venues.
In 2015, the Choir visited Barnstaple’s twin town of Susa in Italy where they sang with two local male voice choirs. In 2018, they visited the Auvergne in France where they were invited to sing in the Rencontres Internationales de Voix d’Hommes Festival in Châtel-Guyon.
During this busy Centenary year Barnstaple MVC held a special Centenary concert in July at the enchanting Royal Horticultural Society Rosemoor Garden in Torrington. They also joined a Massed Choir Concert in Barnstaple in September, as well as participating in the Cornwall International Male Voice Choir Festival at the spectacular Eden Project.
Now In October the choir are delighted to have been given the opportunity to visit Farnham to sing with Hart MVC with whom they last performed at the Aldershot Garrison Church in 2013.
Hart Male Voice Choir are pleased to be sharing a concert programme with Barnstaple MVC when the audience can expect extra special performances from both choirs. The excellent acoustics of the St.Thomas-on-Bourne Church will help to assure an enjoyable musical evening for everyone.
