Sing for Soldiers Raises £1800
ABF The Soldiers’ Charity Christmas Carol Concert held at The Royal Garrison Church of All Saints in Aldershot in the presence of The High Sheriff of Hampshire on Saturday 14th December raised just under £1800 for the charity.
An audience of over 200 were entertained with an exciting mixture of traditional carols and songs by Hart Male Voice Choir and Aldershot Military Wives Choir.
Local girl and special guest Izzy Cole joined both choirs for the congregational carols and for the nations favourite carol O’ Holy Night and was accompanied by choir Musical Director Kevin Jacot for a beautiful rendition of Silent Night.
The audience’s enjoyment was reflected in their generous donations to the bucket collection as they left the church in festive mood.
This was the nineteenth concert organised by ABF Volunteer Eamonn O’Rourke who was delighted to welcome such a large audience and with ABF Executive Assistant Karen Soley is already planning next year’s event
