HART Male Voice Choir and RAF Odiham Military Wives join forces for Phyllis Tuckwell Charity Concert in Hartley Wintney

On Saturday 22 October Hart Male Voice Choir is presenting a charity concert of songs old and new at St John’s Church, Fleet Road, Hartley Wintney in aid of the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. The concert starts at 7.30pm and special guests of Hart Male Voice Choir for this concert will be the popular RAF Odiham Military Wives Choir.

Military Wives Choirs were formed in 2012  with the aim of providing  military families with support and a voice. They sing for charities including SSAFA which provides welfare to military families for life. The MWC pride themselves in their community support, which includes providing musical therapy in local care homes and hospices. Songs for this concert will include ” Amazing Grace and Skyfall “.

Odiham Military Wives Choir

Hart Male Voice Choir started in 1975 and has long been one of the South of England’s leading male voice choirs. The Choir offers an opportunity for men who enjoy singing, to indulge their passion for music, share the camaraderie of a lively group and at the same time support local and national charities for which many thousands of pounds are raised every year. Earlier this year the choir completed a summer Irish tour where €6000 euros were raised for the Irish Kidney Association.

Musical Director Margaret Brackenborough keeps the choir in harmony with an exciting and entertaining international repertoire of music designed to please everyone in the audience at this Hartley Wintney concert. The Choir is growing in popularity and is currently recruiting new members to prepare for a busy year of concerts in 2017.
