ABF The Soldiers’ Charity & Hart Male voice Choir

The ABF and Hart Male Voice Choir joined forces on Saturday to present an eclectic mix of lively and patriotic music to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen. The need to help soldiers and their families now and in the future has not been so great since the end of World War II. In recent conflicts the Army has suffered 92% of all military casualties, most life changing, both physically and mentally. In many cases, support is still required after they leave the Army – every veteran remains part of our family and eligible for our help.
The scope of work is huge, both administratively and financially so fundraising through concerts like this is an essential element of our range of activities.
At Saturday’s concert the Hart Choir performed to an almost capacity audience who responded enthusiastically to the soaring anthems, music from the shows and rousing traditional songs. Kevin Jacot the popular Hart MVC Music Director selected a special programme to bring out the best performances of the choir’s renowned four part harmonies. The concert included a dramatic ‘ Last Night of the Proms’ type finale featuring Surrey based Mezzo Soprano Vanessa Crocker.
The choir enjoyed the splendid acoustic quality of the Holy Trinity Church and the audience were treated to a really exhilarating musical experience.
